It was being reported last week on several internet sources, which included the UK showbiz and entertainment news site, 'Digital Spy' that David Blue aka Cliff St Paul and Marc's ex-boyfriend, spoke to producers about returning to Ugly Betty later on to reprise his role in season 4.
But to put the rumours to rest, and contrary to those reports, David posted a response on the Twitter site, thus refuting these claims by insisting:
'Flattered you all want it, & I'd LOVE to come back, but no, nothing official about my return to #UglyBetty. Hope there wasn7apos;t any confusion. '
...no current talks about my #UglyBetty return. Totally up to them'.
I did try grilling Michael Urie- again on Twitter- but alas, I had no success. After all the speculation, it looks indefinitely as if a Cliff return on Ugly Betty particuarly in season 4, is not going to materialise at all.
Bad news for the shippers of Marc and Cliff and thus, dissapointing to see. But we wish David all the best with Stargate Universe (SGU)- which is doing well here in the UK on satalite TV, as well as in the U.S.
